The name "de Profundis" is Latin for "out of the deep." It plays on the distinctiveness of the male voice, while at the same time bespeaking the conviction that music has the capacity to reveal the profound, that which is concealed within our own depths.

Celebrating our Sixteenth Season

Quarai in the fall
Each fall we have the honor of presenting a concert within the walls of Quarai. Quarai is a unique space - a 17th century Spanish mission church, abandoned in the 1670s - part of the Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument. The top part of the church is open, and yet the acoustics in the stone walls are wonderful.

Bring a folding chair or blanket - even arrive early with your picnic lunch - and make sure to make time before or after the concert to tour the grounds of Quarai. And don't forget your water, head cover, and sunscreen!
